A superblock located in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood with six buildings makes up the Watergate Complex. One of the 6 buildings, The Watergate Hotel, is infamous for the burglaries that led to the "Watergate Scandal". Of the 5 remaining buildings, 2 are office buildings and 3 are Watergate Apartments. Current Secretary of State, Condeoleezza Rice, resides in the Watergate Apartments today, with past residents including Bob Dole and Monica Lewinsky. In the basement level of the Watergate Complex there is a retail center with a supermarket and at street level upscale shops and restaurants.
