Erected by "The Women of America" in tribute to all the men who bravely gave their lives in April of 1912 when the Titanic was lost at sea on her maiden voyage. The memorial was dedicated in 1931 by President Taft, and bears the following inscription:
"To The Brave Men Who Perished In The Wreck of The Titanic, April 15, 1912. They Gave Their Lives That Women and Children Might Be Saved. Erected By The Women Of America."
