Construction on the National Cathedral began in 1907 and lasted 83 years with the last stone laid by President George W. Bush in 1990. The cathedral has been the site of 2 presidential funerals, President Dwight D. Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan. Only one President, Woodrow Wilson, is buried in the mausoleum of the National Cathedral along with his wife.
