Founded in 1996, Freedom Park is nearly 1,000 feet in length. This outdoor museum is dedicated to journalist killed while covering major stories and events along with many icons that represent freedom and the struggle to keep it. Freedom Park is joined with the Newseum, Freedom Forum, and the Journalist Museum both operated by the Freedom Forum. There are many exhibits to be seen in Freedom Park such as pieces of the Berlin Wall, a bronze cast of Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birmingham jail-cell door, a headless statue of Vladimir Lenin, and stones from the Warsaw Ghetto.
